Hagel slag was a huge part of my childhood. Couldn't cosign more strongly.

"NOT FOR ICE CREAM" is how my dad's box of sprinkles was always labeled in the pantry. Toast your favorite white bread (I like something kind of rustic but not too many holes or the sprinkles will fall off), butter it up, and add hagelslag - sprinkles.
